Montana Women’s Run
EIN: 80-0091424 · Billings, MT
Our Story
The Montana Women’s Run was established in 1982 to promote health and fitness among women, especially those who may not otherwise exercise. Initially created by the men of the Yellowstone Rim Runners running club to honor the women in their lives, the event has evolved significantly. By 1985, the women of the club took over its organization, expanding the run into a major community event that encourages women of all ages and abilities to engage in fitness activities.
Impact
Since its inception, the Montana Women’s Run has donated over $1,727,500 to local women’s services, including significant contributions to the Billings Family YMCA and the Billings Clinic Mammography Fund.
