Montaña de Luz

Our Story

Montaña de Luz is a faith-based nonprofit charity founded over 20 years ago in Columbus, Ohio. After witnessing the devastating impact of Hurricane Mitch in 1998, the founders shifted their focus to the urgent needs of children suffering from HIV/AIDS in Honduras. Today, Montaña de Luz operates a children’s group home and provides essential community services, including education and small-business support.

Impact

Since 2018, Montaña de Luz has successfully prevented over 30 children from entering institutional care through its Healthy Families Honduras program, positively impacting more than 40 families affected by HIV.
