Moms Who Care began in 2009 with a mission to support students in need at East Peoria Community High School. Initially providing hygiene bags through the school nurse, the organization quickly gained community support, leading to the establishment of a dedicated room in 2012. With generous donations of hygiene products, clothing, school supplies, and snacks, the program expanded to serve 13 junior high and high schools across Central Illinois.
On average, 800 students each month benefit from the resources provided, allowing them to access essential items like hygiene products, snacks, and school supplies.
Moms Who Care is a community-funded organization that relies on donations to purchase specific items such as work clothing and tennis shoes. Every contribution, whether monetary or in-kind, directly supports students in need, ensuring they have access to essential resources.
