About Momentum

Founded in 2003 by Monica Kridler, Momentum began its journey in a single Columbus elementary school with a mission to expand access to dance and the arts. Today, it serves over 1,600 children annually across more than 25 schools and youth organizations. With a belief in the transformative power of the arts, Momentum primarily focuses on under-resourced neighborhoods in central Ohio, ensuring that children have the opportunity to experience the joy of dance, music, and performance at no cost to their families.

Momentum empowers children through dance, music, and performance, helping participants from under-resourced communities develop self-confidence, resilience, empathy, and teamwork. The organization has positively impacted over 12,000 children in more than 350 classrooms, fostering a love for the arts and enhancing their lives.
