Our Story
In 2004, a small group of La Loma residents came together to address pressing issues in their neighborhood. They developed an action plan to create a volunteer network known as La Loma Neighborhood, aimed at tackling crime and blight while fostering a stronger, safer community. This grassroots initiative inspired the City of Modesto to promote partnerships that engage neighborhoods and cultivate a sense of community. In May 2012, this effort evolved into Modesto Neighborhoods Inc., a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, led by dedicated volunteers across the city. This organization is committed to supporting a city-wide network for all Modesto residents, embodying the spirit of collaboration and community engagement.
