Modesto Children's Museum

Our Story

The Modesto Children’s Museum was founded in 2019 by passionate community members dedicated to creating a vibrant educational space for children. With significant development underway, including a capital campaign for building renovations and exhibit fabrication, the museum is set to open its doors in mid-2023. Community involvement and educational outreach are at the heart of its mission, providing STEAM activity kits during the COVID-19 pandemic and engaging local families through various programs and events.

The Modesto Children’s Museum enriches the lives of children by nurturing creativity, curiosity, and a love of lifelong learning. Nearly all of the $7.5 million capital campaign goal has been successfully raised, showcasing the community's commitment to educational programs and events.
