Our Story
The MLK Celebration Sacramento was founded in 2000 by Dr. Dorothy Enomoto and Jerry Enomoto, close associates of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Their vision was to create an annual event that honors Dr. King's legacy and unites the community. This celebration has grown to include diverse voices from elected officials, business leaders, law enforcement, non-profit organizations, and students, all coming together to commemorate Dr. King's contributions to civil rights and social justice.
