Our Story

Missouri Families 4 Families (MOF4F) is a dedicated, family-run organization established in 2006, with 501(c)(3) status granted in 2016. Led by Executive Director Barb Scheidegger, a parent and grandparent with over 25 years of volunteer experience, MOF4F is committed to advocating for families across Missouri. The organization is unique in that its Board is 100% family-driven, ensuring that at least 51% of its members are family caregivers of children and youth receiving mental health services. MOF4F actively represents family voices on state and local committees, including nine System of Care Groups, to ensure that the needs of families with children facing mental health challenges are met.

MOF4F promotes family involvement in decision-making, provides essential support and information, and fosters connections to quality services. This approach leads to self-advocacy and improved outcomes for families with children and youth experiencing emotional and behavioral health needs.
