The Mississippi Early Learning Alliance was established in 2019, evolving from the Thrive by 3rd statewide early childhood advisory committee. With the support of the Tallahatchie River Foundation, MELA aims to drive systemic change for children ages 0–8 in Mississippi.
MELA is dedicated to building and supporting coalitions that advocate for improved early learning and child development outcomes. The goal is to create a state-of-the-art childcare system by 2030 through robust data and cross-sector collaboration.
