Founded in July 1996, Missionaries to Mexico (MTM) is dedicated to serving the poorest communities in the colonias of Nuevo Laredo. Initiated by Terry and Anita McDonough, MTM has grown from its roots in Tijuana, California, to a vital support system for families in need, backed by the St. Catherine of Siena community in Austin, Texas.
Since becoming an independent nonprofit in 2009, MTM has raised over $1.3 million, with more than 97% of donations directly benefiting over 3,000 individuals. Essential groceries and educational support are provided to children, helping to uplift entire families.
