Our Story

Founded in 2016 by Agustin Quiles, Mission Talk is dedicated to educating young leaders under 40 on critical issues affecting Latino and vulnerable communities. Through partnerships with various organizations, the initiative addresses pressing concerns such as racism, incarceration, immigration, poverty, and education. By 2018, participation surged to 600 individuals. In response to the pandemic, Mission Talk transitioned to online education, successfully training over 300 lay leaders in a justice cohort. In 2022, the focus shifted to prophetic advocacy, mobilizing 300 church leaders from multiple cities to advocate at the Florida State Capitol. In 2023, the launch of the Justice Leadership Development for Community Transformation program empowered churches to engage with social issues impacting their communities.

Our Impact

With over 1.3 million Latino evangelicals in Florida, Mission Talk is reshaping social engagement within the Latino/a Church. The initiative has provided coaching to 75 leaders, mobilized over 1,800 Latino church leaders from more than 30 counties in Florida for prophetic advocacy, and introduced 300 Latino church leaders to justice issues through a comprehensive six-week educational cohort.
