Our Story
The Miramar National Cemetery Support Foundation was established in 2006 by dedicated veterans from the San Diego area. Their mission was to advocate for a new veterans' cemetery in San Diego, culminating in the successful dedication of the Miramar National Cemetery on January 30, 2010. Since then, the foundation has organized numerous ceremonies and events, including Memorial Day and Veterans Day services, while also spearheading significant projects like the Avenue of Flags and the Veterans Tribute Tower & Carillon, all achieved without federal funding.
