Our Story
In 1986, a young man named Lowell Stafford made a life-changing decision to donate blood, only to discover he was HIV positive. Faced with stigma and rejection, he returned to Orlando in 1991 with a mission: to support others living with HIV/AIDS. Thus, Miracle of Love, Inc. was born, dedicated to providing accessible HIV/AIDS prevention programming and support for the multicultural communities of Central Florida, including Orange, Seminole, Lake, and Osceola counties.
For over 29 years, Miracle of Love has been a beacon of hope, offering education, advocacy, and referral services. The organization has built strong partnerships with health departments and organizations, ensuring that individuals receive the care they need. In honor of Mr. Stafford, the Stafford House was established as a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, continuing his legacy of compassion and support.
