Our Story
Founded by Mrs. Marolyn Edmonds, Minority AIDS Support Services has been a beacon of hope for over 25 years. Growing up during segregation, Mrs. Edmonds learned the importance of pride and perseverance. With over 50 years in the medical field, she established MASS to address the HIV epidemic and its evolving challenges. Her recent return from retirement highlights the ongoing need for advocacy and support in our communities.
Our Impact
Today, MASS employs around 75 dedicated individuals across three testing locations, including an STD treatment clinic. With a transportation van and several transitional houses, MASS is committed to providing essential services such as outreach, HIV Treatment Management, and free testing in Hampton Roads, serving the needs of seven cities.
