Our Story
Landmark Center, originally the Old Federal Courts Building, was completed in 1902 and served as a Federal Court House, Custom House, and U.S. Post Office. After the U.S. Courts vacated in 1965, a dedicated group of citizens worked tirelessly to save this architectural gem from demolition. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969 and restored to its former glory, reopening as Landmark Center in 1978. Today, it stands as a vibrant cultural center in downtown Saint Paul, managed by Minnesota Landmarks, a non-profit organization committed to preserving this historic building and enhancing community life.
