About Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association

Founded in 1975, the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association (MBOTMA) is dedicated to preserving and promoting bluegrass and old-time string band music throughout Minnesota. With nearly 1,000 members and 100 member bands, MBOTMA fosters a vibrant community of musicians and music lovers.

This initiative is supported by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Central MN Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
