Our Story

Mimi’s Mission began with a simple act of kindness when founder Lisa Vilella helped a friend find dress clothing for a young man graduating from junior high. This small gesture sparked an overwhelming community response, leading to the establishment of Mimi’s Mission in 2015. Since then, this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization has dedicated itself to assisting Downriver families with autistic children and adults, providing unique programs and resources that have positively impacted thousands of lives annually.
