Increasing The Number Of Women Corporate Directors
Promoting Diversity In Corporate Governance

Our Story

In 2002, Betty Quadracci was inspired to take action after reading an article in Milwaukee magazine that questioned the lack of women leaders in the corporate world. Recognizing the need for change, she initiated a movement to advocate for women in leadership roles. Through her relentless efforts, Betty engaged CEOs and built a network of support for women, laying the foundation for Milwaukee Women Inc. Today, the organization continues to champion the advancement of women in corporate governance, reflecting Betty's bold vision.

Our Impact

Since 2004, Milwaukee Women Inc has published an annual research report on the representation of women on the boards of Wisconsin's largest public companies. The latest report, "Driving Forward: Our Work Is Not Done," reveals a slight increase in female board representation to 27.3%.
