Our Story

The War Memorial Center was established by the Milwaukee community to create a living memorial that honors veterans by serving the living. It aims to tell the stories of veterans who served and sacrificed for freedom, rather than being a static memorial.

Impact

Each year, 50,000 veterans rely on the War Memorial Center, and in 2023, it served over 56,000 people from schools, businesses, and organizations in the community, with 140,000 people attending events annually.
