Originally known as the Michigan Migrant Legal Assistance Project, the organization rebranded to better reflect its mission of supporting the dignity and rights of migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Through legal advocacy, it fights for safe working conditions, fair wages, and proper housing.

Over the last decade, Migrant Legal Aid has successfully recovered significant compensation for farmworkers, providing over 1000 hours of direct legal counsel in the past year alone.
