Our Story

Founded in 1993, Midwest Enterprises for the Blind Inc (MWEB) is dedicated to providing meaningful employment opportunities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Starting with just three employees in a small office in Kalamazoo, Michigan, MWEB has grown into a self-sustaining nonprofit organization. Through collaboration with the National Industries for the Blind (NIB) and participation in the U.S. AbilityOne Program, MWEB has successfully integrated into the market, producing high-quality blow-molded furniture products.

Impact

MWEB plays a vital role in the U.S. AbilityOne Program, which supports over 36,000 individuals with visual impairments and significant disabilities, including veterans.
