Our Story

Founded in 1968 by the Swedish, Harlem, and Rockford Historical Societies, Midway Village Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the rich history of the Rockford area. With a generous land donation from the Severin Family, the museum has expanded to encompass 137 acres, showcasing a typical rural town from Northern Illinois during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
