Our Story
Founded in the late 1950s by Dr. Edward Scagliotta, Midland School began as a response to the needs of a young boy named David Hardenstine, who faced neurological challenges. Officially opening its doors on July 11, 1960, in a modest schoolhouse in Pluckemin, NJ, Midland School has grown significantly since its inception. By 1964, the school moved to a new facility at Jones’ Farm in North Branch, thanks to generous donations and community support.
