Our Story

Middle Earth began in October 1969, sparked by a counseling session between a local church minister and a troubled teenager. Recognizing the struggles faced by youth spending time on the streets, a weekly meeting was established in a church basement. This initiative grew from 35 young people to a dedicated team of volunteers, leading to the incorporation of Middle Earth in June 1972. With a modest start of $3,000, the organization has evolved to meet the changing needs of at-risk youth in the community.
