Our Story

Founded in 1985 by a group of compassionate women, Mid-Cities Supporters of Safe Haven of Tarrant County emerged from a deep concern for victims of domestic violence in Northeast Tarrant County. Initially supporting The Women’s Shelter in Arlington, the organization evolved through a merger in 2006, becoming integral to SafeHaven of Tarrant County. Through fundraising and donations, the dedicated volunteers of Mid-Cities SOS provide essential support to those in need.

Impact

Since its inception, Mid-Cities SOS has raised over $3.4 million, directly aiding victims of domestic violence. In 2023 alone, Tarrant County reported over 11,000 incidents, underscoring the critical need for ongoing support and resources.
