Microsanctuary Resource Center (MRC) began in late 2014 with a vision to inspire vegans to rescue farmed animals using their existing resources. This initiative has fostered a new model for sanctuary, creating a vibrant community of activist-caregivers within the sanctuary and vegan movements. MRC is dedicated to providing support and information for microsanctuaries, ensuring safe homes for rescued animals, including those often overlooked, such as rodents, fishes, and insects.
MRC promotes high standards of care for all non-human beings, dismantling the speciesist divide and empowering activists from diverse backgrounds to engage in animal rescue. This work contributes to the collective liberation of all beings.
