Founded in 2005, Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon (MESO) emerged from a grassroots initiative to support small businesses in North/Northeast Portland. With a focus on alleviating poverty through entrepreneurship, MESO became an independent nonprofit in 2008, dedicated to providing comprehensive services to under-resourced individuals.
Since its inception, MESO has positively impacted nearly 3000 families, maintaining a remarkable default rate of less than 2%. During the pandemic, MESO ensured no business closures, with some clients experiencing revenue increases of over 1600%.
