Founded in 1982, the Michigan Dyslexia Institute Inc. is the first nonprofit educational organization in Michigan dedicated to raising awareness about dyslexia. MDI focuses on the unique needs of individuals affected by dyslexia, providing essential resources and support. Through five regional centers across Michigan, MDI has trained educators in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, ensuring effective instruction for students with dyslexia.
