Founded in 2014 by Michael, his wife, and a network of dedicated friends, the Michael P. Brown Colon Cancer Foundation was born from a personal battle against a rare and aggressive form of colon cancer known as signet ring cell adenocarcinoma. Michael's journey began in February 2010 when he was diagnosed at just 26 years old. After enduring surgery and chemotherapy, he entered remission for nearly four years, only to face a stage 4 diagnosis in December 2013. This foundation was established not only to honor Michael's fight but to pave the way for future research that could save lives.
