Our Story
Founded in 1989 by members of Washington DC’s Temple Micah, Micah House emerged from a community-driven initiative to combat homelessness. Over three decades, this independent, nonsectarian nonprofit has provided a safe, transitional home for women recovering from addiction. In 2003, Micah House moved to a newly renovated facility, accommodating up to four women at a time. Former residents serve as role models, fostering a supportive environment for new residents.
