Rescue Express

Our Story

Rescue Express, an initiative of MGM Animal Foundation, was established to combat the critical issue of pet overpopulation and high euthanasia rates in southern shelters. Since February 14, 2015, this organization has focused on transporting shelter animals from overcrowded southern shelters to northern states and Canada, where there is a greater demand for adoptable pets.

Impact

Rescue Express has saved over 20,000 shelter animals from euthanasia by facilitating their transport from high-kill shelters in the southern United States to northern shelters that are in need of adoptable animals. The organization operates a fleet of modified vehicles to ensure the safe and comfortable transport of these animals.
