Founded in 1998, the Metropolitan Environmental Training Alliance (METRA) began as a collaboration between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and local agencies. This partnership evolved into a dedicated nonprofit organization focused on enhancing environmental compliance through targeted training initiatives.
Since its inception, METRA has successfully conducted over twenty workshops, engaging more than 1,000 workers and significantly improving communication between businesses and regulatory agencies in Central Florida.
