Support for Critically Ill Individuals

Our Story

Founded in 1990 by seven compassionate members of the First Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia, MANNA began as a grassroots effort to deliver meals to neighbors suffering from AIDS. Recognizing the profound isolation and illness faced by these individuals, the founders provided not just nourishment, but also love and community. Over the past 30 years, MANNA has evolved its mission to include medically-tailored meals and professional nutrition counseling, serving anyone at nutritional risk due to critical illness since 2006.

Impact

To date, MANNA has improved the health and quality of life of over 40,000 neighbors in the Philadelphia area, delivering more than 22 million medically nourishing meals.
