The Metropolitan Leadership Institute was founded by the Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to uplift the Greater Kansas City community. MLI supports education at various levels, offering scholarships through the Debutante Ball for high school students and monetary awards for women at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
