Our Story
The Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition (KyHRC) was established in 2015 to advocate for the health needs of individuals who use injection drugs. Based in Louisville, KyHRC implements strategies to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C, reduce overdose deaths, and support healthy behaviors.
Impact
KyHRC has made a significant impact by serving 118 out of 120 counties in Kentucky, distributing 15,000 Naloxone kits, and training over 5,700 community members, leading to a 5% decrease in overdose deaths from 2021 to 2022.
