Our Story

Since 1966, Metro Community Ministries, Inc. (MCMI) has been a beacon of hope for the poor and disadvantaged in San Diego, California, Atlanta, Georgia, and Richmond, Virginia. What began in the basement of a church has transformed into a robust nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting ethnically diverse populations. MCMI was founded by a group of compassionate individuals who sought to continue their outreach efforts even as their church relocated. Today, MCMI serves thousands through a variety of programs and services aimed at addressing the needs of forgotten neighborhoods.
