Our Story

Founded in 1871 as the Widows and Orphans Home of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, this organization has evolved to meet the needs of vulnerable children in Kentucky. Originally established to support widows and orphans after the Civil War, it now focuses on young people who have experienced abuse and neglect. With the acquisition of the Mary Kendall Home in 1984 and a new campus in Nicholasville in 2018, the organization continues to expand its reach and services.

Impact

Over the years, thousands of children have found healing and hope through various programs, including residential treatment and community-based services.
