Our Story
Founded in 1907, the Methodist Federation for Social Action (MFSA) emerged from the Methodist Episcopal clergy's commitment to address the suffering of the working class. As a pivotal force in the Social Gospel movement, MFSA has championed social justice, focusing on peace, poverty, and people’s rights. The organization has played a crucial role in significant initiatives, including the adoption of the first denominational social creed in 1908 and advocating for disinvestment from South Africa.
