Our Story

Founded in 1850 by seven visionary Methodist women, the Methodist Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation began as a sanctuary for the elderly in New York City. In 1929, the Home relocated to Riverdale, New York, where it has since expanded its services to offer personalized short and long-term care to a diverse population. The commitment to ongoing improvement and high-quality care remains at the heart of its mission.
