Our Story

Founded in 1996 by Michael and Noreen Olek, Messinger Woods Wildlife Care and Education Center emerged from a grassroots effort to address the urgent need for wildlife rehabilitation. The center has evolved into a vital resource for the community, establishing a wildlife hospital and educational center that serves as a sanctuary for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife.

Impact

Since its inception, Messinger Woods has rehabilitated thousands of wildlife patients, providing essential medical care and support. With a strong community presence and over 1,000 members, the center continues to foster a network dedicated to wildlife conservation and education.
