Our Story
Messengers for Health began in 1996 through a collaborative effort between the Apsaalooke (Crow) Nation and Montana State University. This partnership aimed to address health equity by utilizing community women, known as Messengers, to educate and encourage Crow women to seek cancer screenings. Over the years, Messengers for Health has developed a strong foundation of trust within the Apsáalooke community, becoming a vital resource for health education and support.
