Our Story
Founded in 1921, Mesa United Way has a rich history of community service, beginning with the Mesa Welfare League. This organization was established by local leaders to address the needs of residents facing hardships, including food insecurity and economic struggles during the Great Depression. Over the decades, the League evolved into the Mesa Community Chest and ultimately became Mesa United Way in 1964. Today, it continues to honor its legacy by providing essential support to individuals and families in crisis, focusing on health, education, and financial stability.
