Mercy Care, established in 1985, is a nonprofit organization rooted in the healing ministry of the Sisters of Mercy. With a legacy of serving the community, including providing healthcare during the Civil War, Mercy Care operates a network of clinics and outreach programs in Atlanta, focusing on health equity and access to medical and social services.

Impact

In 2021, Mercy Care raised over $24 million in grants and donations, facilitating over 57,696 patient encounters in 2022. With 53% of patients uninsured and 62% living at or below the poverty line, the organization plays a critical role in the community.
