Our Story

In March 2010, Kristen Welch traveled to Kenya with Compassion International, where she witnessed the struggles of families in Mathare Valley, one of Africa's largest slums. This experience ignited a passion to help, leading to the creation of Mercy Maternity House, now known as Mercy House Global. Partnering with Maureen, a former sponsored child and now Executive Director of Rehema House in Kenya, the mission to support vulnerable families began.

Mercy House Global empowers families in Jesus’ name, creating opportunities that provide hope through job creation, orphan prevention, and personal development.
