Mercy House of Chambersburg
EIN: 88-1243940 · Chambersburg, PA
Our Story
In 2019, a vision emerged to create a compassionate end-of-life home in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Inspired by the experience of Elizabeth “Betty” Shuta, who received exceptional care at Mercy House of the Southern Tier, her family sought to replicate this invaluable service. They connected with a dedicated group of volunteers who had previously attempted to establish a hospice home in the area. Despite challenges, including regulatory hurdles and the pandemic, these passionate individuals united their efforts to launch Mercy House of Chambersburg.
