Our Story

Founded in 1988, Mercy House Inc. was established to provide shelter for families with children facing homelessness in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to include various programs aimed at combating poverty and homelessness, adapting to the evolving needs of the community.

Impact

This year, Mercy House has successfully served 179 individuals and 83 households, offering essential services that facilitate the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Remarkably, 96% of households in the Aftercare program do not return to homelessness within a year.
