Our Story
Mercy Health Center began in 1999 with a vision to use medicine as a means to serve the low-income, uninsured community in Athens, Georgia. Officially opening its doors on September 10, 2001, it has grown to provide essential medical, dental, pharmacy, counseling, and health education services to nearly 2,000 patients each year, supported by over 500 dedicated volunteers.

In 2021 alone, Mercy Health Center facilitated over 10,400 medical appointments, ensuring quality healthcare for underserved neighbors.
