Founded in January 1994 by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Center for Women was created to provide transitional housing and support services for homeless women and their children. By merging Hope House and Grass Roots Opportunities for Women, MCW fosters a nurturing environment for women facing challenges such as domestic violence and addiction.
Since its inception, Mercy Center for Women has served hundreds of women and children, helping them regain stability and self-sufficiency. With the capacity to house 64 individuals at a time, MCW significantly impacts the lives of those experiencing homelessness.
