Our Story

Born at the intersection of collaboration and opportunity, Mercer County Better Together (MCBT) emerged from a vision to enhance community and economic development in Mercer County. In the mid-2010s, a dedicated leadership team recognized the need for a countywide entity to harness new opportunities. Engaging residents, community champions, and experts, MCBT sought to amplify the 'missing voices' in community planning. Over 18 months, this inclusive process revealed shared priorities, creating a roadmap that continues to guide MCBT's efforts today.

Our Impact

Since its inception in 2016, MCBT has generated an impressive economic impact of over $17.6 million in Mercer County, including more than $225,000 in 2024 alone. By meeting businesses, organizations, local governments, and individuals where they are, MCBT ensures that everyone receives the support they need to thrive.
