Our Story

Founded in 1952, Mental Health America of East Central Florida has evolved from the Mental Health Association of Volusia County to a vital resource for mental health advocacy and education. With the acquisition of the Debra Ann House in 1999, the organization expanded its reach and services. In 2010, the name change reflected a broader mission to serve the mental health needs of the community, aligning with the National Mental Health America. Today, MHA stands as a beacon of hope, raising awareness that mental health is essential to overall well-being.

Impact

Serving Volusia and Flagler counties, MHA is extending its services into Putnam and St. Johns counties, ensuring that mental health support is accessible to all.
